Southampton, PA — AdvantaPure™ introduces Hose Track (patent pending), a unique, revolutionary hose assembly tracking system. Hose Track allows users to minimize the risk of contamination and hose failure and the costly repercussions associated with batch waste and production stoppages. It offers an excellent way for manufacturing and maintenance personnel to keep track of hose assembly cleaning, usage, and replacement.

Hose Track uses a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag encoded with a serial number and encapsulated into each hose assembly. The tag never contacts the interior of the hose and is enclosed with silicone on the outside. It is unaffected by cleaning processes (CIP, SIP, autoclave). Visual hose identification in the form of silicone-encased labels and color stripes for coding purposes—known as the AdvantaLABEL® system—assist personnel with line identification.

A portable, handheld reader/writer identifies each assembly by its tag’s serial number. Personnel can then log and track ongoing wear-related events such as the number of cleaning cycles performed, along with their cleaning dates, and the number of batches of material that have been processed. This information may be programmed back onto the RFID tag and also downloaded for database analysis. Hose Track eliminates hand-written recordings and the possibility of misread data.

The Hose Track™ Lifecycle Analysis Tool comes into use following download to a local computer. This software allows personnel to catalog hose assemblies, maintain wear-related events, and store application data associated with a particular process line. The Tool helps personnel perform hose lifecycle analysis to calculate life expectancy and provide a replacement schedule prior to excessive degradation or failure of the assembly, thereby reducing the possibility of shutdowns.

Internet access to AdvantaPure™’s secure web site allows another option for database storage and can provide on-the-spot information such as manufacture date, batch number, lot number, materials specifications, certificates of compliance, and more. It also facilitates the ordering of replacement hose assemblies.

Each hose assembly that utilizes Hose Track is custom made to best meet individual needs. All manufacturing is performed in AdvantaPure’s class 1000 clean rooms for product purity.
